An Afghan political refuge has just arrived in Italy and look for hospitality and protection but she find herself collide with a daily reality that marginalizes and makes her feel out of place. The alienating condition is reflected by choosing non-sites as locations of the film. Documents and passports have ambivalent value, they are just pass-through to freedom and control tools. The refugee status slips to the apathy of a nobody's land.

Small town in zero point borders between two countries can be an interesting place that some changes are imposed to that area during years, without readiness of its native people. Smuggling is one of the ways of entering those changes. In Switzerland, Mortaza Shahed met a refugee who, like him, comes from Afghanistan and belongs to the Hazara ethnic group. They have been persecuted and discriminated for decades in their homeland: “A lot of us fled to Iran in search for a life without violence and discrimination. But there what we met is discrimination again... only second-class citizens after decades. The last hope is Europe. So thousand came here to find justice. Here I spoke to an afghan refugee and heard his story.”

The conflict between his outer world, his day to day life as a warrior taking on an entire nation’s battle, and his inner world, which takes place in an animated studio setting, delving behind the scenes of Omar’s personality and depicting the events and the people who have influenced him.
